Rachel Saunders

Rachel Saunders

Rachel started working for Heath Vets as a work experience student in 2010 whilst completing her Veterinary Care Assistant qualification.

Rachel is currently training with the aim of becoming a qualified veterinary nurse.  She enjoys all aspects of the role but particularly likes working in the operating theatre, assisting the vets in the monitoring of patients under anaesthetic and sedation.  Rachel is currently undertaking a Level 2 Certificate in this topic.

Rachel has always had a passion for animals and has always had dogs around the home.  She has a soft spot for pets in need and alongside their Cockapoo Alfie, her family now includes, fiancé Dean, an abandoned puppy which had a broken jaw, Ted and her three legged cat Chester. Chester was hit by a car and came to Heath Vets with a severely broken leg.  Rachel played a vital role in each of their recoveries, fell in love and took them home for a lifetime of TLC.
